Alex Aguilar
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Meet ALEX
Fiercely empathetic and boldly realistic, Alex’s approach to therapy aims to help clients feel less “stuck” and more empowered to make conscious, present, and life-affirming choices. Alex believes in the power of connecting with ourselves and each other through the process of self-compassion, vulnerability, and acceptance.
From working in community mental health to private practice, Alex has worked with adults, adolescents, couples, and families struggling with serious mental health concerns, substance use disorders, thinking disorders, and family or relationship conflict. Alex roots her work in understanding interactions between our mind, body, and emotions, our role within our families (given and chosen), as well as the larger systems and cultures within which we deserve to thrive.
Alex prioritizes allying herself with work that disrupts oppression in all its forms. Outside of session, Alex enjoys trying out new pie recipes, hogging the karaoke mic, or playing around on her sewing machine.
