Joy provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy and counseling to adults addressing a range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, complex trauma, chronic pain, disability, chronic disease.
Her practice is centered in a culturally informed, decolonialized, and anti-oppressive framework. Your indigenous healing practices will be honored and be considered an integral part of your healing journey. Joy’s practice is a safe space for your authenticity while you process emotions and feelings in a way that fosters resilience, clarity, practicality and sustainability.
As an LGBTQ+ allied therapist, Joy provides a safe and affirmed space to explore gender identity; gender expression, and sexual orientation.
She is passionate about working with community leaders and helping professionals to work through unprocessed grief and rage – whether from systemic injustice, individually lived, or tertiary traumatic experiences that can manifest as burnout, frustration or dissociation. Joy is honoring and affirming your journey, and ready to help.
