Amber Cox (she/her)

LPC
Accepting New Clients
Amber Cox understands that one of the hardest parts of therapy is attending the first appointment. Taking that first step requires courage, especially when trauma, addiction, anxiety, or depression feel overwhelming and all-consuming. She believes that if someone has the courage to walk through the door, they already possess the strength needed to face and process the experiences causing pain and holding them back. As a therapist, Amber takes a gentle yet honest approach, helping clients recognize and cultivate the strengths they already possess while walking alongside them on their path toward hope and healing. She works to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to move toward meaningful change. Amber has experience helping individuals navigate trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, procrastination, and other challenges that interfere with reaching their fullest potential and living the life they desire. She utilizes a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. She believes healing is possible and has seen many clients accomplish hopes and dreams they once believed were out of reach. Together, Amber and her clients work toward greater peace, healthier relationships, and lasting healing. She believes people are capable of more than they think—and often stronger than they realize.
