Don Harris (He/Him)

LPC
Accepting New Clients
Don Harris, LPC is a nonjudgmental, compassionate, and refreshingly real therapist who specializes in working with teens and young adults—especially those who’ve had past therapy experiences that made them think, “Nope, not for me.” Don’s style is warm, collaborative, and a little quirky (in the best way). He meets you exactly where you are, helps you figure out where you want to go, and makes the work feel doable, and sometimes even fun! He is skilled in evidence-based approaches including Trauma-Focused CBT, Crisis counseling, and Motivational Interviewing. He supports clients navigating trauma recovery, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, as well as low self-esteem, and the painful experience of feeling “lost”. As a single parent who raised a daughter, Don also brings a grounded parenting perspective to family and parent sessions. Outside the office, you might find him playing 1950s-style rock-and-roll piano, writing songs, designing and making yo-yos, painting, learning a new skill for no reason other than curiosity, or being bossed around by his two Pekingese “fur babies.” Education M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Oklahoma Training Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Crisis Counseling, and Motivational Interviewing to name a few. Special Focus Teens & Young Adults, Trauma Recovery, Anxiety, Depression, Relationship wounds, Self-Esteem, Social Belonging/“Fitting In,” Multiple Traumas, Teen Groups, Family Sessions, Parent Sessions “You don’t need fixing. You need discovery. We’ll do real work together, without it feeling like detention.
