Elaine Starkey (she/her)

LMSW
Life can feel overwhelming, especially when we are knowingly or unknowingly carrying experiences, relationships, and circumstances that impact the way we think, feel, and respond. Reaching out for support can be a meaningful step toward healing, and Elaine is passionate about creating a safe, compassionate space where clients feel heard, seen, valued, and empowered to find transformation. Elaine is a dedicated mental health therapist who works with infants, children, adolescents, adults, and families. She believes that every person is shaped by the relationships, environments, and experiences around them, and she values a systems-based approach that considers the whole person—not simply the challenges they are experiencing. She believes that family involvement can be an important part of healing and growth and works collaboratively with families when appropriate. Her approach is strengths-based, client-centered and faith based upon request, recognizing that clients are the experts in their own experiences. She strives to meet each person where they are, knowing the process takes time – true transformation is possible but not immediate. Client’s need time to not only sift through the past but most importantly time to grow hope and resilience to move forward. Elaine incorporates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and experiences. She is passionate about helping clients develop healthy coping skills, strengthen relationships, build emotional regulation, process difficult experiences, and recognize the resilience they already carry.
