Accepting New Clients
Not all healing happens through words—sometimes it’s found in play, creativity, and connection.
Melissa is a LPC and Registered Play Therapist who believes healing can be creative, playful, and deeply meaningful. She works with children, teens, and adults in a clinic setting, using a blend of play therapy, expressive arts, movement, nature, and Sandtray to support growth and healing.
As a trauma-informed and EMDR-trained therapist, Melissa supports individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, neurodivergence, pre- and post-bariatric surgery journeys, grief, and the ups and downs of life. She helps clients gently process difficult experiences while building skills for emotional regulation and resilience, honoring each person’s unique way of thinking, feeling, and experiencing the world.
Rooted in Adlerian principles, Melissa believes that all people are capable of growth, connection, and change. She emphasizes encouragement, belonging, and helping clients recognize their strengths as they move toward greater confidence and self-understanding.
Melissa views the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful work. She strives to create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and genuine—where clients can show up as their full selves and feel seen, supported, and respected. Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all—your therapy can be as unique as you are. Her approach invites clients to explore beyond words—through creativity, play, and the body—allowing healing to unfold in ways that feel natural, engaging, and empowering.
When she’s not in the therapy room, Melissa can usually be found exploring National Parks with her husband, chasing the perfect photo along Route 66, or training for her next Disney race. She’s a proud bonus mom to a 13-year-old and is lovingly outnumbered at home by three fur babies who run the show.
