MEET Scott
Scott Thomas is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist and has been in a group psychotherapy practice for 12 years. He has graduate degrees in Counseling Psychology and Theology. Scott is a Certified Trauma Clinical Professional and his favorite forms of therapy are EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).
Scott believes in a whole person approach to therapy; we are a spirit, we have a soul, and we life in a body. We can be wounded in any or all three parts; they interact with each other and for true healing to occur it is best to address wounds in each area as an issue arises. Scott’s main areas of focus include trauma / PTSD, depression, anxiety, life adjustments, relationship issues, premarital counseling, spiritual issues including but not limited to spiritual and ritual abuse, later life transitions, and grief.
